The PSP. The DS Lite's batteries do not last half as long and the PSP has a cooler game selection to choose from.

It really depends on what you're after. I have both systems and they're both really awesome, but at individual things. Mario Kart DS and New Super Mario Bros are among the best games I've ever played, but it's also really sweet to be browsing the net, watching a movie, or listening to music on a PSP.

Overall, I'd say I've probably played my DS Lite more than my PSP, but that's more because of lack of good games for the PSP right now. There are some good games on the way. Technically the PSP has superior graphics and technology, but fewer quality games. Both are really great systems though.

Mr. Peeper is right on. It really depends what you're looking for in a portable system. I'm all about the games, so I'd choose a DS lite. The touch pad adds a whole new dimension to gaming in my opinion. There are some really cool quirky games available for the DS that utilize the touch pad. You'll never see those games on the PSP.
