I did my routine of 45 minutes cardio and at the end i started cramping like crazy in the lower abdomen. I don't know if that was Braxton Hicks or what. I'm pretty well trained since i was a fitness trainer,so it wasn't fatigue. What happened to me that i had to stop and sit down for 10 minutes?

Your baby is growing and taking up more room in your uterus,u should lower your exercise habits down to 15-25 minutes..Your body is working extra hard for your baby and exercising like this just makes it even harder...When women dont get enough fluids in there body they tend to cramp really bad almost like the feeling of your period...This is due to the lack of water in the amniotic sac and dehydration. U have to make sure u are drinking at least 8 glasses of water equaling 8 oz. each..and if u are working out like this u will need even more of that..Also,u should not let your heartrate go up so much during exercising when u are pregnant. if u notice while your working out that u cannot talk in a straight sentence without being out of breath u are working yourself to hard and u need to slow down..Maybe for the time being u should just stick to some light walks if that will make things more comfortable for you...Take care..

Because that area is changing drastically, adjusting to growth changes and hormonal changes, allot of different "pains" can occur. You have to listen to your body. If you have always been exercising, then you can continue, but you should heed caution. Don't "push" yourself in the same manner as you did before. During pregnancy, being physically fit should be about staying in shape, not winning any races or loosing weight or trying to gain muscle - just to stay even.
Take care....

hi there, i am almost 17 weeks and very into fitness too. i just know that i've really had to cut down my routine. i just don't have the energy. make sure you are listening to your body and staying hydrated. i had to cut down from 50 to 30 minutes cardio, and my strength training routine is so much lighter, and quicker. listen to your body - every woman is different. also i've been told to keep the heartrate below 140.

You really need to talk to your doctor about this. You can only do certain excerises while pregnant and you need to be careful not to overdue it.

You should talk to your doctor about safe exercises you can do and how long you can do them for..Doing something like walking on a tred mill for about 20 minutes everyday is fine

Cramping does not mean braxton hicks... it's a tightening of the uterus, like yoru tummy goes rock hard.

It's your round ligaments thats hurting. totally normal in pregnancy, they tell you when enough is enough... take it easy.

What are you doing working out I think the only thing you can do is Yoga or something soothing like meditate but I don't think Cardio because that working your muscles that's why you started to CRAMP!

first of all make sure your dr is aware of every excercise you are doing. it sounds like it could have been ligament pain but it could also be your body telling you to slow down. I know you probably already know this but im just mentioning that you should never push youself to do anything while pregnant meaning if you're tired rest, in pain, stop, etc. Best of luck.

You should see your doctor ASAP, something could be seriously wrong with you or the baby, you could possibly even loose it, thats why they tell you to not do excerises while pregnant, and if you do, they have special ones so you dont hurt yourself or the baby.
