I don't think the problem is with Motorola phones, it seems that there is something abnormal with the sim, something that motorola phones (atleast the ones that you tried it on) can't handle but other phones can. Now you can't ask Motorola to change their technology but you can always change your sim. Try to get that sim changed, hope this will solve the problem.

Should be able to. I have a Motorola Razr and a Samsung flip phone and I switch my sim card between them. I have T-Mobile too and both phones are for use on T-mobile only.

Yes, but the phone has to be unlocked. You can take it to a T-mobile store to have them do it if it isn't already done.

Can’t you just try it first instead asking silly questions? Of course it will work.
