Depends on the area. You may want to compare prices on different appartments being rented in the area. Also check out the police report on the area before moving in. You may want to know what type of neighborhood you are moving into. This may help.

Depends, in Bay Area Calif that is dirt cheap... if in a small town in the Mid-west its very expensive... and what size make a difference.
