Well, I DO understand your question perfectly. You should be just fine in May of this year. It is during the Easter Week, what the Yanks euphemistically like to refer to as "Spring Break," when you will find drunken Yank college students and "stoners" on every corner 24 hours a day and all the swimming pools from Cape Cod to Cancun filled with urine, vomit, used condoms and empty beer bottles!
This year Easter falls at the beginning of April. That is the time to watch out for. Here in Mexico, we don't even bother to visit the resorts anymore, we spend that time in the city to avoid the disgusting spectacles of "gringos gone wild." You should be just fine during May. Of course you may still find drunken, ill-mannered, obnoxious gringos (Yanks) at this time of year as well, but isn't that the case ANYWHERE in the world?

I agree that the spring breakers will be gone by May. May and June are actually the best months to go because that´s when the weather is the most predictable and beautiful. Yank spring break does NOT necessarily coincide with the Easter holiday, by the way. It usually takes place in March or April regardless of when Easter falls.

Pissed? The people in the colonys call that drunk i believe. Does it concern you all the tanked up yanks? It shouldn't. With an english accent you should probably be able to harvest all the slightly goofy looking drunk girls that you can handle.

yes it might be cause its a touristic site..
I would go to Playa del Carmen, not so far from Cancun, you are more likely to find europeans there..
americans seem to like Cancun better.

Look, dont go to cancun,,,its full of,,,gringo tourists say, spring breakers type,,,horrible
It is better to find little towns, near cancun, if you are really interested, contact me and Ill send you more information, about nature reservoirs, or indian comunities, I dont think I really understand your question anyway,,,

March and April are the Spring Breakers. You should be free of them by May.
