I wish I knew. All I can say is that we will all have good times and bad in our lives. As time goes by, we learn to embrace the good and hopefully let go of the bad. Perspective is all that we have to compare anything to anything or anyone, and it is highly inaccurate, although powerful.

You know, people say alot of things that they really don't know about or use the wrong terminology. When I hear someone say that life is hard or life isn't fair, my comment to them is that Life is very fair. Society isn't. So if these people never took the time to get into the universe and energies and the choices they make, then they will never understand what they asked for in the first place, then ten years down the road when one of their choices manifests, they simply forgot that consequences do not always come immediately following the choice they made. So if you want something to happen right away or someone else got something before you did or you just can't seem to get ahead, they need to look beneath the surface of LIFE because each facet brings us closer to understanding the workings of Life and the Universe and what it gives out - by design. Perception is fascinating. And if people turned up their perception and not think negative on everything, most people would be alright. But most of the time, it's society that tries to hold you down. What is so freeing is that Life is so much bigger than society. And boy am I glad that Society is not the only way to go thru life.

Don't you think they are comparing their life to the imaginary version of life that we are all subjected to by the powers that want us to buy something? To buy something that will get us closer to that imaginary life - the life we see in car commercials or magazine ads for watches. Or the life we imagine that we will have if we buy the winning ticket for the lottery. In order to sell people something you have to convince them that they need it and much of what is sold, in North America anyway, is just stuff that we don't need at all, but that we believe is going to make us happy or make our lives "easy." The irony, of course, is that all of us struggle and face hardships and suffering is inevitable. That's the way life is. Nothing that we do is really going to change it in any fundamental matter. Life is "hard" but it's also joyous and wonderful. The hard times make us appreciate the good.

Personal experiences often influence ones outlook on life. You could always compare your life to others who are in a worse position or your could always reflect on your family history, but the truth is that everyone has varying degrees of hardships in each life and as you grow and overcome your internal desire to succeed and to pass your wisdom on to others as you see the need to warn those you care about.
