Once, about a week after my Dad died...I was coming from the basement off the kitchen & as I did my Dad walked out of the bathroom off the kitchen and walked around the kitchen table smiling & walked toward the kitchen window and vanished as he reached the window...my Mom had walked in from the dining room smiling but she couldn't see him!! I had this dream about 5 years ago but I can remember it now just as I dreamed it then!

i dreamed my grandmother appeared.it was a remarkably clear dream, and altho she appeared at the same advanced age she was when she died, she was glowing, radiant.she took me to a large room, and began introducing me to a roomful of people.they all shook my hand and said"oh,ur meg's grand daughter!we've heard so much about u !"they all seemed glad to meet me.then grandma said:'would u like to see what i've been doing since i got here"? she explained that she was working with an aids patient who had passed in a gr8 deal of turmoil, because his family never accepted him or his lifestyle, and they never reconciled.we went to a smaller room, and a gaunt young man with a beard, sat on the bed."ur grandmother is helping me so much" he said"she's terrific!"then i wa stold i had to go back."you wont see me for two years, your time"grandma said, repeating it several times.no more dreams about her for 2 years, when a family member died young, and suddenly in an accident.i dreamed of him,on the other side with grandma.they told me earth is aschool, and i had lessons yet to learn.the unusual, vivid clarity of these dreams, the tangible sense of my grandmothers personality, came thru loud and clear.i also grasped the hand of the boy so tragically lost, and it felt, even tho i was dreaming,as if i was holding a living, warm hand,as we grasped each other tightly.it could be my imagination, but in my heart,i believe i was given comfort from th afterlife, and i consider these dreams a gift.ps- i also dreamed once that st francis let me see my dog for a little while.the dog was surrounded by sparkling, pulsing light ,as if she were surrounded by the auroraborealis-it was beautiful.i petted her a bit,and st francis said,"she has to go now",and the dog disapeared into the multi-colored sparkling light, and i woke up.

Yes, but it doesn't happen too often. I know for sure they have visited because the dream is vivid and I remember it all the next day. I also feel better. I think they're just letting you know they're ok and still looking out for you.

Yes, although I don't remember the details, after my grandfather (who I adored) died, I had many comforting dreams where he was well. If you are having these kinds of dreams, let yourself enjoy them, and if not, don't let it bother you or make you feel guilty. The people we loved show their presence in many ways.

My Grandfather has come to see me often - and no - not dreams - I actually wake up and see him standing there smiling at me. This has happened many times over the years(and I am 57)

My little brother came to me at the foot of my bed one night shortly after his death, and told me not to worry, just be happy for him, that he was fine, and we would be together again someday! I was wide awake when this happened with my husband asleep right next to me-it was the best thing he could have did for me as I was having such a hard time accepting his sudden death! I needed that ,and he put me at ease so much more by letting me know!! Thank you Joseph Clyde-RIP.

My brother was a paraphlegic from age 17 until his death at age 42. (car accident). I had a dream shortly after his death of him rising from the tomb and being ecstatic and happily saying "I can walk again!"

Yes, one visits me in my dreams occasionally. I'm always glad to see them, in whatever context, but I also realize that it is just a manifestation of my subconscious mind. The dead are dead, and cannot visit us, except in dreams or hallucinations. You just have to gradually let go of them. The overall process is called grief, and it hurts. Best wishes to you.
