Depends on the person, I was calm and did not scream, nor did I sweat, but I usually don't anyways (It takes a lot to make me sweat and birth I guess didn't take a lot for me) Now a lady down the hall was screaming and yelling the whole time. Different people, different birthing experiences.

Um, yes, you might sweat, and if you do not have any pain meds you will most likely at least yell or cry. You won't be wearing any knickers so that won't be a problem...in a hospital you are just wearing a hospital gown. Mostly you just endure the labor pains and wait until it is time to push the baby out, and then you push when the doctor or midwife tells you to. It can take a few hours for the baby to actually come out so this is why they call it "labor"!

All of the above & most of what everyone else has stated. If you are expecting, breathe deeply, find a place on the wall or ceiling or your partner & just concentrate on it when a contraction hits, try to remember to breathe deeply & slowly. After you want a shower & they won't let you have one, you want to clean yourself up & they don't want to give you time or privacy. Oh & no one has mentioned the hemerroids, pain when you pee that is horrible & your first bm a few days after that feels like child birth all over again.

For me, it was really calm. No sweating, screaming. I pushed when the nurse told me to do so and breathed when she said to breathe.

I prefer to have some vodka and smoke a blunt! If the knickers come off then so be it!

what a weird question...... you pee, poop, bleed, scream, swear, yell, push till your veins are bulging from everywhere on your body, you sweat your *** off,and then it all disappears when you see your child....
