You actually expect me to open that. Most things by christians are anti gay. So I don't care to even look. I have my own opinions thank you.

It's really got nothing to do with my life as a bi woman. I always liked being a girl, and I was and am feminine, and I wasn't abused. I'm not even particularly athletic, except for swimming and surfing, which I've never done for competition, only for fun. I just like other girls, too.
Sneeringer conveniently forgets that in today's culture, there are many examples of feminine lesbians and bisexuals--models, actresses like Portia de Rossi and Angelina Jolie, the cast of the L-Word.
Also, Sneeringer is a professional ex-lesbian--in other words, this is her job. And she's still single!

HI there, this answer comes to you from Canada.
As I read the article, I believe it was in paragraph 3 where I found this line:
" ... nothing could be wrong between two people as long as they loved each other ... "
That basically says it all. As for Christians, I wouldn't believe their hype. They are all lost sheep looking for their flock-keeper. Unfortunately souls !
Honey, if you are happy in your beliefs and they hurt no-one .. then darling, you go right ahead and keep believing. So many fanatical Christians enjoy stirring up the pot in the 'name of their God'. Only trouble with that is, their God is so 'forgiving' that even these fools can get away with what they preach.
Thanks for the question though.
Enjoy your day!

Don't let them trick you... as a general rule, anything that is published by a christian group about homosexuality is simply not true. They come up with all sorts of ideas, all of which have been denounced by every major medical and psychological association in the world.
I don't know how people who have so much hatred for gays can claim to be such authorities on us.

That's absolutley ridiculous. They make it seem as if being gay is a disease, like cancer. The fact they have seminars is insulting. I am a member at Harrisburg United Methodist Church, and nobody there cares about someones sexual lifestyle, as long as they accept God as their savior. They don't think of homosexualty as a sin, but as being the way God made us. So to whatever churches that believe that, it's crap.

Well I read that and I don't think it is anything that I would ever read again. It made me mad that she even thought something was wrong with her and that she "shared" that. It's complete horse crap.

Reparative therapy is nothing but snake-oil victimizing people who need real therapy to help themselves accept who they are.

It is a load of horse manure.
No one can make anyone gay or straight. You have to deal with the deck of cards you are dealt with. If you are gay - deal with it. If you are straight - deal with it.
