You know buddy, centimetre is the unit of measurement of a one dimensional body, for eg, length of a very very thin wire or say the length of a strand of your hair. if you flatten a thin wire by hammering it you will get a two dimensional wire with a length and a width which is a measure of the extend to which the wire has been flattened. such a wire will have an area measured in cm x cm giving square cm. If you pile up a large number of such flattened wires one on top of the other you get a three dimensional pile of wire with a length, a width measuring the extent of flatenning and a height depending on the number of flat wires in the pile. This pile occupies more space than the single unflattened wire did. In this case we say that the pile has a volume which is measured as length x width x height and the unit of this volume is the cubic centimetre. The litre which measures volume occupied by a body, specifically applied to liquids and gases, is equal to 1000 cubic cm. Therefore you can see that there is no relation between cm and litres but there is definitely a relation between cubic cm and the litre, both measuring the extent of space that a body occupies.

Imagine a cube of sides 1cm.
The volume of this cube is given by:-
V = 1 x 1 x 1 cm³ = 1cm³
A cube of side 10 cm has volume given by
V = 10 x 10 x 10 cm³ = 1000cm³ = 1litre
A cuboid of sides 10cm , 20cm and 30cm has a volume given by:-
V = 10 x 20 x 30 cm³ = 6000cm³ = 6 litres
Hope you find these examples useful.

you can't because a centimetre is a length while a litre is a volume
However, one litre is equal to 100 centilitres
That is why wine bottles are often marked 75cl which is the same as 750 millilitres or .75 litres
