The ice didn't work and I don't have wd-40 in the house. can I use olive oil spray without it staining my sofa?

Try using like cooking oil. Just dab it on and it should come off. You'll have to clean the oil off though. It worked in my car whn i had gum on the seats.

Rub peanut butter into it and then scrape away the peanut butter. You'll be left with a bit of an oily spot that you can remove this way:

Boil small amount of water
Add loads of Ivory liquid to hot water
Beat with a mixer so that the suds form into foam.
Rub the foam onto the spot and if the fabric will take it, scrub gently with a toothbrush.
Wipe excess foam with clean rag.

Don't use olive oil. Go buy some WD40. Or use OrangeClean or GooGone.

Peanut butter works wonders and leave no horrible smell.
