lose the freak.

its not gonna happen again? i mean, good luck to you, but i dont think your odds of hitting the lotto again are very good.

Not sure why in a million years he would have done this. He is supposed to be starting a life with YOU correct?

I think it may be the dumbest thing i have ever heard.

So who ended up with the money? Whoever cashed it, did they give you the money?
The friend should not have taken it and your fiance should stand up to him for taking it and lying about it. But in the end, you should have gotten your money. If you did, then they did the right thing, and I would just be cautious for another attempt to steal from you. If he won't give it to you - it would be over for me! It would only show me that he will be pocketing secret money once you are married - especially if you have a joint checking.

I would not completely dump him over that since he did feel bad about it and did not take any of the money. However, I would definitely make sure that he does not have control over any of your finances.

I would also make sure to avoid his friend and I would hope that your boyfriend understands the reason you do not want to be around his friend.

Now if he insisted on keeping this friend and that you be ok with it and hang out with him that is the time I would start questioning the relationship.

umm yes you should leave him. your fiance stole from you!!! it doesn't matter if it was his friend who had it, at some point in time your fiance knew about it. rather than take the ticket from his friend and bring it to you, he let his friend cash it in. that is serious. your fiance clearly is susceptible to "peer pressure" and easily influenced. he has proven he is weak, untrustworthy and a thief.
