That's a good question. Perhaps I should give you a star!
Those of us who can't be bothered with all the hype over the has-been 'celebrities' are certainly made to feel a minority. Could it be a rubber necking fascination similar to those who can't drive past an accident without gawping?

Because it is human nature to be curious about other people. It is tribe mentality. Haven't you ever heard of a curtain twitcher? It's kind of like the same thing, instead of looking out the window at what the neighbours are or aren't doing, one can very simply turn on the TV and have all the warts and all car crash beamed right into the comfort of their homes.
It doesn't make one more educated to say they "don't like it because of what ever reason", there will always be something that sparks the interest of one person or another that others will not warm to as well. It is a Psychology student's dream programme. One could write all day on the ins and outs of Big Brother.
That is why people give a f**k about it.
To "think tank" Look up the word hypocrisy.

The thing about BB is it is peoples excentricity paraded for the entertainment of the small minded individuals who watch it. It can seem funnier to see how people behave in an invironment they don't know well. Fair enough it is a load of crap and I don't watch it, but I already predict that Dirk, Face Man off the A Team, will win because those who are at voting age all remember the A Team as what they loved when they were young.

Usually the Celeb version of BB is a bit more fun and easier to watch, in so much as it doesn't run as long. This year is the exception and undoubtedly the worst BB ever.

You know what kind of sad people inhabit Britain don't you? Especially young girls who would do anything to get famous, they all have great ambitions to come on some sad show like this and then get asked to take their clothes off for the tabloids. They watch it because they want to be there.

Also my sister is one of the saddos and encouraged me to watch one of the times when all the girls were talking about the Indian actress. Alas! I am one of them, for all of two seconds.

Seriously - saddest are the ones who always talk about it and vote and actually go down to boo people.

Is there anything else to watch on TV? Particularly for young people. For other people BB= Big Brother.

People are defined by how fantastic they think they are because they don't watch it or how fantastic they think they are for watching it.

I don't think they do. Not talked about at work or my local pub.
It's mostly the programme maker's (and their chums in the gutter press) hype that's causing it to be splatted over the mass media, and a few minor dingbats who haven't a life of their own.

I have never watched it but I am glad about what is happening now. I am a trade union officer and I deal with racial harassment cases. I am so glad that at last people are getting a close up view of how insidious and ingrained racism is. Unless you experience it in some way...the majority of us can never really understand it.

Hooray for big brother...never thought I'd say that!!!!

EDIT:

I see we have two of them here who don't like having their methods exposed! LOL
