All planets spin. In fact, almost everything in space spins.

Well the Earth is actually a basketball from God's basketball team...and He makes players practice spinning the balls on their fingers some more proof would be that when there is an Earthquake a player is bouncing the ball and that is the part of the ball that hit the ground...

HAHA JUST KIDDING

Seriously I think it has to do with the magnetic pull comming from inside the Earth....and did you know that a day is really longer the 24 hours...that's why we have a leap year every 4 years to make up for the time we have cut off from each day.

Yep, they all spin. This spin is a result of the conservation of momentum when the dust coalesced to form the planets.

All of the planets spin - some very fast (like jupiter) some very slow (like venus).

It has something to do with how earth came to be. Mass from the disc of debris (how it came to be a disc is another story)

But all planets rotate. Funnily enough, all (but 1 or 2 I think) rotate in the same direction.
