We'd be left without a medium of exchange. Or we'd question if we'd live a life of needing to exchange goods with one another or not. Or we'd all instantaneously become underachievers who think about eating when we get hungry and shelter only when it got cold. Or we wouldn't have had your question to respond to because the internet service providers wouldn't have gotten paid or you wouldn't have been able to post it in the first place.
The world stops. Then what? Good question...if we stop because we have a better plan in place, good for us. If we stop without an alternative in place, then...we are at the mercy of those who will get their needs met one way or another...

That's not going to happen any more than people will stop believing in food and oxygen. People have needed a medium of exchange ever since the idea was first invented.
It is certain that no modern, complex economy could possibly exist without money. Without it, all our technology and learning would crumble away and we'd revert to a stone age society.

If there's no means of exchange (and barter/exhange are considered money) then everyone would have to do/make everything for themselves. Including medical care, food, and contact lenses. Communities would become nearly worthless since there is little point (other than finding a mate) in staying near other people who cannot provide you with anything (since services and exchange are considered forms of money) and would compete with you for any food in the area.

Fiat money?
we would either go
a) into a barter type of economy where we trade stuff we don't want for stuff we need. only problem is that it is hard to find someone with the stuff we need and stuff we don't want is something he needs
b) we will find a new form of money, like maybe beer or something. like "ill give u 2 beers for that bread" then the guy that sold u the bread goes to a Best Buy and says "ill give u 400 beers for that HD tv right there"

by definition money is a mean of exchange, of measuring value of things, and for saving. so if we drop the concept of money we would be back to trading somethings for other things which is very inefiecient. imagine you have hens and you want a cow but the one that has cows doesnt want hens so it becomes very difficult to obtain the things you want.
