My girlfriend and I had unprotected sex 2 fridays ago. She came on a week later but now I hear it takes 2 weeks for the fertilized egg to move from the tubes to the uterus when it implants. Is there still a chance of her falling pregnant?

If she had her period there is a small chance that she is actually pregnant. The exact second that a sperm fertilizes an egg a chemical reaction takes place that releases a hormone to stop the sheding of the lining of the uterus, therefore even though implantation has not occured yet she should still not have her period.. It takes on average 8-10 days for implantation to occur, some can be earlier and some later. If her period was lighter than normal it could have been the bleeding from implantation. And if she started one week later there is a good chance that she wasn't fertile at the time. A women ovulates exactly 14 days before she starts her period. She is fertile 5 days before ovulation because sperm can live for 5 days in the uterus and she is still fertile 24-48 hours after ovulation because that is how long an egg can live. Once a women gets to know herself it is possible to track the days of fertility.

I don't understand what "she came on a week later" means. I don't think she could "fall" pregnant but she might "be" pregnant. There's only a 24-48 hour window each month when a women can conceive. It's usually 14 - 17 days after her period.

Implantation does take a while. Usually at least a week. However, I think sperm can only survive a maximum of about 5 days. If she's going to get pregnant, she probably already is. Guess you'll just have to wait to find out.
