For years i have gotten brownish spotting about 1 week before my period. I didnt think i was pregnant bc i had the same spotting before my period was due. But low and behold im 7 weeks along. Spotting has stopped but im concerned it will return around the same time i would be expecting my period. Would it be normal?

For me it was. My Dr. said if it looks like my normal periods than I should be ok. Well if my normal periods I past clots, so when I became pergo the first time the bleeding was very scary at first, but now I'm 20 weeks and we are both fine.

Brown spotting during pregnancy can indicate a problem if it is constant. A little bit of brown spotting is normal, but should be reported to your doctor anyway just in case. I'm 21 weeks along and I started bleeding bright red when I was about 3 months; they thought I was having a miscarriage. The bright red bleeding only lasted for one day, then I had brown spotting for about a month and I havn't had any since. The doctor told me I had a vanishing twin, meaning I was pregnant w/ twins and miscarried one of them.
Another cause of brown spotting is ectopic or tubal pregnancy. If you are already 7 weeks and havn't had any severe pain or fever you probably don't have this condition. I hope your pregnancy goes well, and remember if you have spotting that won't go away or if it becomes bright red or heavy accompianied by craming, pain or fever you should go the ER.

Not to scare you or anything but maybe a trip to the doctor would be a good idea. I have had two miscarriages both the first signs were brown spotting/bleeding. It could also be normal for you.

Yea it's normal, lots of women spot while they are pregnant. Remember though, severe pain on one side or the other with RED blood is dangerous and you need ot go to the hospital. And i mean severe pain, not cramping... cramping is normal in early pregnancy.

some women have what they call implantation bleeding. Don't worry about it right now. If you have moer spotting, then call the doctor right away, that could be a sign of ectopic pregnancy. good luck sweetie

Before you knew, it was probably implantation bleeding.

I've also heard it's normal to experience after you discover you're pregnant, as well.
