Their voices were blended together to get the sound of Troy. They had to blend their voices to make it sound better because Zac's singing voice is very low and it kind of got drowned out by all the other singers.

Drew Seeley sang for Zac in the first movie, after that Zac sang the songs himself..if you watch HSM1 and then Hairspray, you'll be able to tell the difference.

It was Drew Seeley who sang all the songs that Zac had to sing. Zac's voice was too low!
