What I am asking is why apple is being so secretive about the wireless card in the macbook. I had one and could not connect to the internet. I called them up and they told me that it did not have a wireless N card in it. Please read the following article.

Actually this is nothing new for apple. I don't mean to knock them but they do have a tendency to do things such as putting n cards in the laptops and denying it. Just another example of corporate america. They are no different or better then any other company

All you would have to do is get the New Airport base station...it's compatible...As for apple saying you needed the wireless N card, yo u do not need that card to connect to the internet...any apple wireless card will connect to the internet.

Sounds kind of a bogus article. I mean, to get faster Ethernet you need new hardware. I was not aware that software could upgrade a wireless adapter to a faster speed. There are not any that I am aware of except the new appleTV that have a new hardware wireless 802.11n
