On each wheel (air valve)
On the fuel rail (for pressure tests)
On A/C systems (for filling and testing)

Probably the one you are referring to is on the fuel rail.A schrader valve is the same as the valve stem core.

That'll be the on the outside of your wheels. It has two functions:

1. to keep your tires from leaking air

2. to vent excess air pressure whenever bled
