My co-worker's son is in Iraq right now on his third tour, mind you.

Did you know that the soldiers have to pay $7 a day for their meals? Doesn't sound like a lot, but when your serving your country...don't you think you deserve a free meal?

Because they are war profiteers.

The guy who thinks they are making a 10% profit is more naive than a newborn baby.

Halliburton is a multimillion dollar corporation and they built their fortunes on fleecing the federal government, just like every successful government contractor, and they are one of the best at it. Clearly you've never worked for the federal government or been around this stuff like some of us or you wouldn't even suggest such a thing.

Halliburton has been under investigation and scrutiny dozens of times and in the world of government contractors where a $300 toilet seat isn't blinked at, that is quite an accomplishment and you don't get there by making a 10% profit margin. LOL!

sure they do, and specific, it incredibly is truly gut-wrenching. I see it greater often than I care to because of company I artwork for; we do promoting for those agencies. the protection stress trains a soldier to do a technical interest, like repairing radios or computers, telling him he will make $20 an hour doing so. Then they deliver him to Iraq, then have him practice an worker of one of Haliburton's subsidiaries. Then they deliver the soldier to the front to be aim prepare for militants, on an identical time as that man or woman he skilled expenses the government for $80 an hour for the comparable artwork. Sickening, isn't it?

I don't know where to start with you. I am shaking my head and saying " what an idiot". First I would like to see your proof, your facts. here are mine.

The government is spending ($28 a day per soldier) on MRE ( which stands for meals ready to eat).

In 2004 the contract stipulated $28 dollars a day per soldier for all meals. If they are collecting $100 per soldier per meal you can file a whistleblowers lawsuit entitling you to 10% of what the government recovers.

I think you are confusing the fee Haliburton gets with the deployed soldiers per diem which is $100 to cover all meals. Haliburton has had the logictics program contract for decades. The one time they lost it President Clinton stepped in and overrode the bidding process to give the contract to Haliburton.

Because the Iraq war is all about a bunch of theives stealing money. What's the easiest way to steal public money? Go into public service then give all your friends contracts and overpay them, they get rich and so do you. Who are Halliburton's friends? No surprises there I'm sure.

Would you punish success? Don't you understand Nazi-Con oinkonomics? What So Proudly We Halliburton's only duty to America is to loot as much money as it can to pass on to its stockholders. Thieving traitors are Americans too, you know. Under neo-capitalism, they are the only Americans who count; so, by Oinkonomics 101, what is good for Halliburton is good for America.

That food has to be ordered from somewhere, it has to be escorted into Iraq, it has to be cooked and served. $100 sounds about right, I'm sure they're skimming some off the top. You need to do some math and come up with better figures for war profiteering. You act like they're paying $100 per value meal at their local taco bell.

Iraq is a war for profit set up, so it wouldn't surprise me that Haliburton gets $100 per meal.

Do you have a link to support this fact?
