NOPE! Actually, you can point your finger at Bill Clinton. Back when he was president, he was handed Bin Laden on a silver platter, only Bill was too busy playing golf to stop and sign the order. Needless to say, Bin Laden got away and hid in the hills of Afghanistan. That was our ONE and ONLY chance at a clear shot on Bin Laden. As Bill left office, he whispered into George's ear that Bin Laden was a threat. Now since 911 Bush has spent a fortune bribing informants to catch Bin Laden. Although Bush has managed to take out some of Bin Laden's right hand men, we have never gotten Bin Laden himself. There was one other time that we almost had him, but the operation had to be aborted at the last minute, because of insufficient men. Hey! It isn't exactly like a map quest adventure going after Bin Laden. The man is constantly moving from one cave to another to avoid capture. It would be like trying to find a needle in a haystack that was being tossed around. In this case, we are looking for one man in the mountains of Afghanistan, sort of impossible. So, my friend, it is not Bush that is a failure, but rather Clinton, who failed to seize the moment, when he was the president. We know what Bush would do and we know what Clinton did not do. My question to you is what would Obama do with Bin Laden, if he had the chance? NOT MUCH!

AS long as Bush is the Prez,Bin Ladin has no worries of being captured.Bush Sr. and the Bin Ladin family have been in business dealing together for years. They need Osama alive and out there somewhere to keep people on edge. The use of fear has been used in politics for many years, and will continue as long as the general public believes everything the Prez tells you.

As others have stated, Afghanistan is a big area with lots of caves for Osama Bin Laden to hide in. I'm sure our troops there are doing their best to locate him. Bush's mistake was not sending enough troops there.

He sends 130,000 troops to Iraq, which had nothing to do with 9/11 or the so-called "war on terror" (which should have been called the war against al Qaida, since that's the enemy we SHOULD be focused on). If even a third of those troops had been sent to Afghanistan instead of invading Iraq for no reason, I'm sure Osama Bin Laden would have been caught by now.

Because bush changed his mind on finding him. One of this administration's most shocking moments were watching and listening to bush say in March of 2002 that he is not concerned about finding Osama Bin Ladin. This quote is clipped from the Whitehouse transcript on their own website:
"So I don't know where he is. You know, I just don't spend that much time on him, Kelly, to be honest with you." and he goes on to further incriminate himself; "And, again, I don't know where he is. I -- I'll repeat what I said. I truly am not that concerned about him." These quotes are admittedly taken out of context but it's there for all to read. I cannot find the actual video clip again so I don't know which which media channel will have it.

If you really find him to be "reneging on his promise", you have no idea what you're talking about. Patience ceases to be a virtue in this country, I see. No one is going to be able to just capture him the nanosecond after they say they will. It's not a simple task. Throw him a bone for the fact that he's even trying to at all.

Bush bit off more than he could chew. If OBL were to be found, I'm sure Bush would get him. But the US is hard pressed to be able to get him. The character flaws of Bush are evident for his handling of the Iraq war, hurricane Katrina and for his tax cuts for the rich despite a huge deficit. But to be fair, I don't think his character should be judged on his inabiltiy to capture a rabbit in his own briar patch.

At least Osama hasn't attacked US soil again; and I'm sure it's not because he doesn't want to (assuming he's alive). He's kind of like "neutered," so to speak.
We have other fish to fry.

Are you at all familiar with the geography of Afghanistan? It's a mountainous nightmare with about a bazillion rat holes in which to hide.

No one, not even evil President Bush, said it would be easy.
