Runescape is only safe as long as it is used with the proper parental guidance. The game play itself is very kid-friendly, and completely appropriate. However, please be aware that it is an environment where anyone can play and can theoretically type anything. (Though efforts are made to keep it a clean game.)

The game experience and 'safety' depends a lot upon who is around when a child is playing the game. If you let your kids play this game, use common sense. Check in, see what they're saying, and see what other people are saying to them. 99.9% of the people playing are kids or adults who are just having fun playing the game. However like any internet activity, there is the chance of someone of less than desireable character interacting with your child.

If they really want to play, depending on age, you can always keep the account name and password, and limit when they log on that way (so you can always be around). Check in periodically, read what's going on. It is a great free game, a good chance for kids to play and interact. After all, a lot of the people who play it are kids! However it is only safe if parents take an active role in monitoring their children's activity online.

Depends on the age variables. If your 5-10 I wouldn't recommend it. But, if your 11+ I would say you would be fine. Runescape is free of downloads so you can't get any viruses. Also, some players tend to use swear words, but Jagex will block all of them out completely. If you have any more questions feel free to E-mail me. Take care.

The minimum age in the rules for Facebook is 13. So an 11 year old is too young and if the child ever gave out his/her age, he/she would be kicked off Facebook.

sure it is. but try to watch out to who you're kids are talking to on there. it could be dangerous. make sure they don't give any personal information. people could cuss on there though. beleive me i used to play it. they won't say the whole word all at once. they'll seperate the letters.
