I'm taking a course in Gen. Psych. I've always been interested in Psy, since high school. My question to you is, do you think it'll be worth it? I'm just worried that I may not like the class. I know that there will always be a chance of this happening, but will it be boring (this question is directed to those who find Psych interesting) Is this going to be a class that I'll just "Go to"? I also am keeping in mind that it can depend on who teaches it, and how. I guess I'm just nervous.

Your perception is your reality. If you "think" that the class will be boring, it will... if you "think" the teacher is dull, well they will. Every class has the potential of being dull, boring, hard, easy, exciting...

It is not up to the instructor to "make it" anything...the student needs to get involved! Ask questions, bring up information you've read about the subject from other sources, see if there's a psychology club on campus and join!

Don't worry... be happy!

Hello... I also have an interest in general psychiatry. I would advise you to take a look at the course content (which I'm sure you have) but be sure that most (or all) of the content interests you.

Think about your background have you had any work experience in the health field, closely related to gen. psych.?

What initially interested you?

Have you any personal experiences that aroused your interest in gen. psych?

Refresh yourself of why you would want to take this course, then when you go to class you will have a strong interest that will get you through the course.

Good luck

I found it intersting because I leanred about how the brain works, and how outside influences affect our thinking.

I would say stay in the class. It will be helpful, no matter what field you are interested in pursuing.

If you need any help, I am a peer tutor at my college, and I would be willing to help.

It depends if you need it for a certain major. If you really want to take it, think about it this way.::It is a class that is about yourself, and there are really no wrong answers. I am taking it this semester and I think it is interesting.
