I have many, many, many of my own reasons for hating such bullshit. Whats yours?

Why do I hate pop? Let me count the ways:
1. They don't play their own instruments
2. They hardly ever write their own songs
3. Sex sells with these people. Their appearance is more important than that of the musical quality
4. Music is never enough for them (acting, modelling, designing clothes....enough already!)
5. Everything sounds the same
6. They're usually hypocritical
7. They're like puppets. Do and say what your handlers tell you to, right?
8. All they care about is Paris effin' Hilton. And whether or not she's their friend. Give me a break.
9. Lip syncing. I HATE that.
10. Dancing
11. the Top 40
12. All the attention they get for being crappy
13. Their superiority complexes
I better stop. My head might explode.

Mainly because it is annoying. Every station plays this stuff in heavy rotation until it starts causing drive by shootings of radios. Also, there is no actual artistry in a teeny bopper song. It is merely a commercial product targetting the newer demographic of teens with disposable income, serving as a jingle for an overly sponsored spokesperson trying to convince children to buy clothes, electronics, soft drinks and fast food and done with a frequency that is meant to grab as much cash as they can before the kids get old enough and either fall out of love with music or find out that bands such as Hawkwind sound much better and channel their entertainment money into other directions.

It's superficial. a ploy for parents to buy their teens stupid music, annoying and most importantly crushing the monumental channel that used to be Music Television...but now its filled with snippets of teeny pop videos and more talking about teeny pop artists that these little girls and boys admire. I HATE IT! and that' s all i got to say about dat.

I hate it because girls go crazy for it. Oh, the lead singer is so hott..etc. They OBSESS with them (Nick Lachey, The Cheetah Girls, etc.) The music and beat also get annoying. The lyrics don't make sense. I'd rather listen to some indie band which nobody has heard of then listen to "I'm bringing SexyBack...yyyeah".. Don't even get me started on "Fergalicious definition: make them boys go loco"..wow that song sucks.

because they're all so fake and i don't like the music, it's really cheesy. i'm into rock, n at least bands like slipknot, papa roach etc do their own music which sounds completely different from any other band and don't care what people think of them and are great to their fans. that's why i hate pop music.

It's ridiculously pointless fluff with no substance, the people can't sing and its just for the money machine, not "the love of music".

When they think they are singing about "drama" things. Let them have children, a mortgage, and a spouse and then they will know drama.
