I would also agree with Def Leapard. Pantera was in a category far beyond hair bands I think. Raging metal there!

while i was shopping for some 80's hair band cds, i bought "the best of loverboy"... i was surprised how many good hits they had!
not sucking up, but the other answers i saw before i posted this were good too! poison ,motley crue, ratt, whitesnake, in particular. bon jovi, has surely had the most hits and is still a personal fave.

Befor I saw your answer, that's who I was going to say. I've seen Motley Crue four times and they've always put on a killer show. They were totally what the 80s rock and roll scene was all about.

nothing good at all came from hair metal, except pantera, they were hair metal back when the sucked, they needed the experience to become 90's metal hero's.
