Stick it
This was a wonderful film with lots of heart. The other people in the audience that I saw it with clapped at the end just like I did. How many films are there about the world of gymnastics? It was original, and the kids were a lot of fun. The writer-director also wrote BRING IT ON, another wonderful film, tighter script -but not as much heart.

The cast was good; the lead can act and her two guy buddies played it well. Jeff Bridges is always fun. I suppose if I had to make one criticism it would be that the first half moved a little slow and some of the camera work was uneven: focus was soft in places, and sometimes the composition was neither here nor there. But I recommend this film.

Accepted
I went in to this thinking another gross movie with gross humor. Telling from my first sentence I don't like that humor and this movie had it's moments but I loved it. Justin Long has really never done comedy like this, where he's sarcastic and clever and I loved it. Lewis Black....enough said. The ending I really did love because It had to take itself seriously I mean how else would you end it? Yes it's another underdog story but not in your typical format and the movie wasn't their ups and downs, it was people coming together for one common goal, To go to college where they were accepted. The cast was amazing and yes I did laugh at loud when I didn't think I would and the laughter lasted longer then I thought to. The parents and sister played their roles well but their characters are put in when necessary. The movie was not focused around them but at the same time they showed up when you expect and not expect them to. They played in to the story very well, and I loved the familiar faces Anthony Heald(Boston Public), Jeremy Howard (I) (Galaxy Quest with Justin Long) Ross Patterson (The New Guy)and Sam Horrigan (Brink). Blake Lively added her certain something to the movie which made it even more enjoyable, as well as B's Friends. I recommend this movie to whoever hated those gross comedies of the last 4 years and really want something with humor and an actually story line!~!

Step up
You've seen it all – feel-good story of deprived, delinquent kid finding the meaning of life, dedicated effort culminating in an upbeat dance finale, rich-girl-poor-guy routine, and a whole bunch of familiar situations. But, if the dance and music are good, you'll tend to forget the improbable, unlikely, illogical, contrived story and plot. Given the lame script, top choreographer Anne Fletcher's first crack at directing didn't come off too badly, partly because of the wise use of very short scenes. As to the dance routines, with her credentials, you wouldn't expect anything less than good, and the movie does deliver in that department. The stimulating fusion of hip hop and ballet is well synchronized with fusion in the music. While the attention would obviously be on the showcase number that the protagonists are developing, I also like one particular scene at a gig, when the two sidekicks sing on stage while the two leads do their thing on the dance floor. This scene has the beauty of exciting spontaneity not seen elsewhere in the movie.

Save the last dance 2

I liked this movie just about as much as the first, if not more. I know it's odd to say that about a sequel, and a sequel going straight to DVD without it's original cast no less, but I really liked it. I thought it was a good movie about following your heart and finding your place and passion. Some people are saying that it has the same storyline as the original, but I didn't see that. I thought it was completely different. There are different people, different surroundings. Sarah is already at Julliard in this one and she's in love with rap and hip-hop music at this point. How can you be more different than that? I'll definitely buy it to add it to the original in my collection of DVDs at home. :)

Hope that helped!!!

Only saw Stick it. I'm not the target demographic but I have to say I enjoyed it. It's your typical rag tag team trying to make good film but it's fun. Don't have too many expectations.

i think you just listed 4 movies with different actors with almost the exact same plot, dialouge and overall story line. is it just me or is hollywood rolling with creativity now a days for the youth?

you heaps like dancing. In my opinion, they are all the same movie. Just a different 'bad boy' in it.
