Invisible is so correct!! Although there are still Native Americans, I'm living proof. I'm an enrolled member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe, and know that to find a full blood Native American is rare. One good thing about being enrolled is your Native ancestry can be traced. I agree also that I really don't understand why the majority of people argue about others not belonging, when in fact (Invisible is correct), their ancestors are of foreign lands. I'm also part German and French. Majority of people are mixed (not just of one race), so when you really think about it, the real American Race is everyone!! Blacks, Whites, & Hispanics.

I agree considering they were the first to settle on that coninent. Most Native Americans have perished due to disease, war, etc. The majority of America's population is of European descent, so it's really hypocritical of certain hate groups to tell others they don't belong in their country when in fact their ancestors once belonged to foreign lands themselves. In the end, America is country made up of people many different backgrounds. Many today take for granted the hardwork and contributions of the immigrants.

I was born and raised here. Doesn't that make me a "native" American?
You are aware, of course, that the folks you call native Americans also came here from somewhere else, right?

I would say the Native Americans, they are the original inhabitants of this country.
White people or Caucasians came here or should I say got lost trying to follow the spice trails and found themselves here.

I prefer the term "American Indian" because others born in the USA can state that, since they're born here, they're "natives" of the United States.
My terminology leaves no gray area for adulteration.

the blood of America is varied. The first know inhabitants are the natives and their ancestors, then the white man, then the black man, then the yellow man...but first it was the brown man!!!!!
But remember....there is plenty of blood on America's hands!!

they were the first people to inhabit the americas (north and south america). but if you mean the united states of america, that was a country that was created by english settlers in the english colonies in north america after they broke away from england and declared independence. they then preceeded to spread aross the continent, taking land from the native americans who were living there, destroying their culture adn way of life, confining them to reservatioans, and killing them through various means, and then repopulating the land with more whites who moved out west to settle. that's why there's white people in "america."
