There are so many things seriously wrong in the world yet everyone gets all up tight about a pathetic TV program.

Bullying gos on in all walks of life and whether it be calling someone names because of their ethnicity, their way of life, the way they look it is wrong. That is what needs to be addressed rather than putting it all down to just racism.

It is getting utterly ridiculous. If what is in that report is the sort of comment/behaviour that everyone is getting so upset about then lots of people have to get some perspective. It isn't nice, but considering the kind of really serious racism and prejudice there can be in the world this is really mild. Pathetic primary school level ignorance and bullying, but not worth burning effigies over.

I know it's pathetic. If seems ok that Shilpa can mock Jo's accent...& that's not racist. The only reason that the others imitate her voice is because she was the one that pointed out how funny it was that she couldn't say Dirk. The people in India are only reading bigged up stories in the newspaper saying that she is being attacked - without watching the full story. As for that f**ing chicken!!! They told her how to cook it & when it was uncooked they wouldn't eat it- I don't blame them, now people are complaining that she was being bullied!!! PC gone MAD!!

Its pathetic. Jermaine Jackson and Shilpa sit there every day making racist comments about the other contestants and we all say nothing. When Shilpa gets back a bit of what she's dished out the Indian people are up in arms. By showing acts of violence against people in the house and making death threats it makes them worse than anything Ive seen on Big Brother yet. Hypocrites the lot of them !!!!!!!!!!!

some sections of the community seem to be over sensitive. kinda double standards here, any kind of racial remark or slur is made about white brits - but we dont get all uptight about it - whilst should anyone say something or theyre subjected to a few harsh words, the ethnic minority go beserk.

I haven't seen the show, but from the article...NOTHING called for mass riots in the streets; and I believe that the Indian culture has much more to worry about than being misrepresented in an inane television show.
