Yes. A cloned cow is still a cow.

Natural cloning results in twins, if a cow had a twin it would still be safe to eat. So it would be the same for artificial cloning.

But seeing as it would be real expensive to make a farm of cloned cows and it would go against the morals of many people I don't think you'll be seeing cloned cow meat and milk any time soon.

It also wouldn't make since for the farmer to clone, because all the cows are exact copies of each other if one of the cows becomes ill and dies from a disease then all the cows are just as susceptible to dieing from that disease.

It's unlikely to become much of a problem, but
there is absolutely no reason whatever to fear the
results of cloning. The cloned animal is genetically
exactly the same as the one it was cloned from,
just as naturally occurring identical twins are clones
of each other.

Some people become hysterically afraid of
anything done in a laboratory, for some reason.
Probably the depiction of "mad scientists" in the
media has something to do with this. A really mad
scientist wouldn't stay in business very long, he
wouldn't be able to function effectively.

The same attitude is displayed by some people
toward genetically engineered foods, again for
little reason. The only way the genetically
engineered things could cause any problem is
if the carrier used to insert the gene into another
organism is capable of causing harm. Since this
is presumably being guarded against there should
be no problem with the genetic engineering either.

We have been genetically modifying our foods for
centuries by hybridization and selective breeding,
scarcely any of our food organisms have not been
so changed. Corn wouldn't even exist if not for
human activity, it can't survive long on its own in
the wild. Genetic engineering, except for the
carrier, is exactly the same thing, just much more
efficient.

The fad for "organic" and "natural" things is just
that, a fad. People tend to forget that many
organic and natural products are deadly poisons.

Yes, why not? A cloned cow is exactly the same as the parent. You eat cloned fruit all the time without worrying.

They say it is, but I wouldn't eat cloned beef. It just sounds gross!!
