My last job for instance, quite a few blokes didn't like me, but I never did anything to offend them. Why do people just hate someone for the h#)) of it??

it makes them look cool to be a real ***. and everyone like cool people. popular people are real bitches and everyone likes them why? it's cool to be a *****.
In my oppinion it's cool to be nice and POLITE!!!

I think if a person dislikes you for no good reason, then they are just jealous of you. Sometimes people want so much to be like you but they can't so they figure they'll just hate you for being you.
I disagree on if the person is nice they are not liked. That's not always the case. I also disagree that everyone likes a jerk. I know I don't.
I do know how to kill someone with kindness. I also know how to bring out the kindness in some grumpy, angry people.

it depends...
people often ask themselves "why is he being so nice, what's in it for him?" And you have to ask yourself the same thing. Is it because you are saying to them: "I'm SOOO nice that you HAVE to like me?" You should not be over-nice, although i'm not sure if that's what you meant? Just be regular, capacity for both good AND evil. This doesn't mean you have to be an asshole.
