I took my laptop in to get looked at; when I plug in my lan line or try to get wireless the little computers in the corner tell me limited or no connectivity. So I brought the computer in. Is this actually a quick fix or do you think its a big problem? Will the guy at the computer store hit me up for a big charge?

This isn't necessarily a computer issue, this could be a network error. You might have conflicting ip's at home or your router and or modem aren't configured correctly.

This could be a quick fix like: Start>run>cmd>ipconfig /release>ipconfig /renew

They guy will most likely not find anything wrong with the computer, and if he does, ask him to explain exactly what the issue was or he's going to dupe you.

After connecting to the land line, I would reboot and see if it goes away. The one on the wireless is kinda hit or miss...I get it at times at home and I am only 3 meters from the router.

that issue is just a bug with windows service pack 2.
to remove this problem all that happens is goto start control pannel, network connection right click on the connection icon choose properties and untick a box thats says notify me when connection is limited etc.. then pressing apply ok
and it will remove the yellow icon.
