The interviewer then asked Bush if he cared.

Yes, for the first time in quite a while, I actually watched the interview with the Bumbler because I really wanted to see if he could utter something that would show that he could take a stab at having a grain of intelligence.

Your comments proved that the poor guy doesn't have a clue. He is actually pathetic as a leader. Stubborn, bull headed, determined to go on, even though he knows he is wrong.

I don't want a President who is too easily swayed by opinion - even negative opinion. It's not a popularity contest, and sometimes being a President requires unpopular decisions.

But then again, George W. Bush works for the People of the United States. Not the other way around, and it is his duty to listen to the American people and to care about what the American people want. And the American people have been saying consistently for some time now that they do not want this aggression that Bush has been carrying out in Iraq.

I not often watch "60 minutes" yet became glued to the television very last evening. I actually have continually been inspired with Hillary, and she or he keeps to electrify me with each interview, debate, etc. I fairly beloved her remark about how she has survived (my word) many unfavourable campaigns. Hillary is a tried and genuine candidate that merits so a lot extra understand than she receives! i visit help whoever the Democrat nominee is, yet my coronary heart quite needs it to be Hillary.

Some people think the presidency is not a popularity contest, and that making hard decisions as the right thing to do is more important than being popular.

It is stupid to believe that a president should not do what he knows is right because it may not be popular.

Maybe you think a puppet dancing to the results of opinion polls is a good president, but most people do not.

No, you may not, and a better question may be what the hell is wrong with you? Since when does the President lead the Country according to popularity polls? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

If he cared about what people thought about him his decisions and opinions would change every week. Love him or hate him, I'd MUCH rather have someone running our country with their own ideas than with advisors and polls dictating our country's future.
