I would do it now,you never know when your package will arrive and you can add stuff and delete things as they come and go, I suggest not registering at Wal-Mart, because they are somewhat all different setups and a lot of items are NEVER found. Target and Babys R Us are great to register, also skip waisting time registering for clothes and onsies, people are going to buy you that stuff anyway, regardless if you register or not, and besides they wont be able to find the items of clothing you register for.
Focus on the baby's room, and bath items, those are things they can get everywhere,
you will prob, get doubles of things, (we always did) just exchange those items at wal-mart( if they have them, in store or on line) because Wal-mart takes everything back and if it is under $25.00 they will give you cash back, but try to do it all at once, because they keep track of how many times you bring items back without a receipt, (you can only have like 4 in a month or something) so bring all your shower items you don't need back at once and just get a gift card to use on diapers, formula, clothes or whatever, Good luck with your baby!

I registered for basic things at about 4 months, then added gender specific things after I found out the sex. I wanted to get it out of the way early so that I wouldn't have to be concerned with it later. It was super -I did everything online at Target.com and WalMart.com. People have been asking about my registries since I was about 3 months along, so registering early seems to have made everyone pretty happy. One thing - if you want to register for bath products, or baby medicines, or anything, I would go in store to do so, as most web sites don't offer the option to register for these. I really liked WalMart.com because they offer a ship to store option that saves a lot of money for out of town relatives.

I due May 3rd too. I've started to register because my doctor told me that it's going to be a girl. I've haven't told many people yet were I've registered yet because I wanted to wait until I was 7 months pregnant.

Girl, register whenever you want! You can always change your selections online - which is GREAT!!! So if that boy turns out to be a girl in a month or two ... or vice versa ... the option is yours to change your selections. I didn't register until I started preparing for my shower ... I was sooooooo fat and lazy!!! CONGRATS and GOOD LUCK!!!

register for what?. if you mean at the hospital you need to pre-register by your 7th month. If you're talking about at a baby store you should register in your 7th month.

register for what? gift registry... prenatal courses... pre-registration at the hospital?

In any case I think as soon as possible is always better, especially on the hospital.. should you have any complications during your pregnancy (knocks on wood) they would have a file started for you already.

Best of luck dear

Hey, if you want to do it now, get it out of the way now. You never know how you will be feeling later on. Plus, if you think of other things you should have added, you have plenty of time to add them!
