Raised bed kitchen garden in SF Bay Area. Nothing froze but well-fed insects eating everything (radishes, kale, chard, spinach, lettuce). Any ideas? (I have protected aginst snails and slugs.)

believe it or not it could be rabbits....if you have any in the area. that was our problem a while back. my mom wont plant that kind of stuff anymore cause we always had rabbits & other similarly small creatures eating it away.

could be a number of things but if you use a solution of 3% hydrogen peroxied it acts as a deterent and promotes plant growth with the increase oxygen. Make sure it doesnt have any additives though.

I use it in what I named pan's garden. There are several statues of animals with pan playing the lute and a couple fairies. The flowers in that garden growth quickly and I havent seen a bug since I started using the peroxide.

Have you checked for earwigs? They are nocturnal and can be trapped by placing some damp corrugated cardboard near your veggies (maybe half buried in the soil) Leave overnight and in the morning or day - tap the cardboard over a plastic bag & dispose

would probably suspect rabbits. Moles and mice would probably not be nibbling on the above ground greenery....that's not their style. It's probably not an insect as I believe it's too cool in SF for those culprits. or maybe it's one of those vegetarian hippies...just kidding. It's rabbits.
