I would agree that good intelligence would definitely be an assett in any war, but the military would then have to act on that intelligence to have any affect, As far as the TV show "24" is concerned, it's about as realistic as Grimm's fairy tales.

24 is not even close to realistic. There are so many goofy things in that show its not even funny.

In just this seasons episodes-
- They retask sat's to chase somebody- ever heard of a helicopter?
- The bomb/fire missiles at a house in a suburban LA neighborhood. Ever heard of usin SWAT or other police/military ground force to take the house?

- Hmm- oh, let's see-- the show also shows torture on a fairly regular basis. I'll just slap this guy and he'll tell me in 2 seconds what I want to hear- get real.

I would agree to an extent though that good intelligence work would go a long way to fighting terrorist-- I'm pretty confident there's plenty going on now.

The irony is not the success of the show. The real irony is that the whole world saw things for what they were, but the current Administration in Washington decided to justbe the playground bully, or the Cowboy, orthe Superman, or what have you, and ended up writing checks that the Armed Forces have no means to cash.

Shame.

That is kinda ironic. It's also ironic how everything works out in the end on 24.... oh wait, it's a TV show, that's right...
