Works usually contains a full version of MS Word, albeit often a slightly older version than would be in the current copy of Office. Maybe you have a "lower" copy of Works (though mine only cost about £20 - how much lower can it get?). In case that's so, see if you can save as .rtf or even (worst case, because you'll have to reformat) a .txt file

Works spreadsheet is NOT the same as Excel. Excel can (sort of) open it, but I've had some funny results such as odd currency symbols popping up. However, Works spreadsheet can "save as" to Excel format and that usually comes out fine

I assume the PC with the printer does have Office on it?

For some reason, Works files do not transliterate well to the normal Office-type files which you were probably trying to use to print from. I suspect it's because dear Uncle Bill is trying to get you to buy the Office package.

Fortunately, like has already been said, Open Office is completely free and easy to download, and you can save your files in it in a format MS Office understands. A truly excellent suite!

Strange, they should be the same, depending on what format you saved the documents as from your laptop. I would advise downloading open office, which is completely free, and does the job of Microsoft office, and better in my opinion. You can save as many diff formats including Word, Excel etc...

I have avoided MS Office fro years and I have no regrets, or wishes to go back to it ! Good luck!

If it got here with a CD only placed the CD interior of thepersistent and persist with the teachings no favor to uninstall the different one, its sensible common to do. a sturdy tip for this isn't to do it once you're in a hurry. it would want to take a sturdy a million/2 hr with all the scans and updates it will ought to do. also attempt to do it faster or later previously the trial version runs out because theres no longer some thing so positive as you'll bypass to do it and it truly is going to %. up a plague. Take some time with it. Dont hurry, dont be impatient.

They are not th same as word and excel. If you can save in an .rtf format it will transfer to other pc's. Otherwise you can pay for word or download open office for free. I hope this helps.
