they use indian rupees but officially its not allowed to bring them from outside plus you will have a bad rate for change at home.

goa is very international: euros, uk pounds or us dollars are very easy to change. always ask about their fees (commission) before changing, change first when you arrive at the airport, ask for small change (10 and 50) as well as for some coins so you dont tip with 100!

As you already are aware Goa is in India and they use Indian Rupees as currency ...but you are not allowed to bring in Rupees in ... I presume you are not travelling within India itself but from England or other destinations.. you cannot change Indian rupees prior to travellling ...
Therefore the best currency to take with you would be GB pounds or US Dollars...where once you are there you can change to the currency in use.

Goa uses Indian Rupees.
The currencies that are most widely and easily accepted are the US dollar and British Pound Sterling.

well if your in India, going to Goa, rupee's but from any other country , travellers cheques. you can.t take rupee's in or out of the country,, but all atm's are all over Goa/ india..so no problem..

the fact is even if you dont have any money you can still be happy in Goa.........

let me mention one more thing even if you dont have girl friend you will be still happy in Goa

Any and all currency, my friend. Make sure you change them with an authorised dealer before you spend. Do not change them on the beach. Good luck.

Take our notes. make sure they are good ones they may not take them otherwise, You will get a good deal out there, Keep an eye open for best value. as they tend to differ. have a great holiday. have fun.

take the doller its very good rate out there... or take trav checks there good aslo dont take a lot in cash with you take a small lot before you go
