My husband had his prostate removed over a year and nine months ago because they found cancer. He is only 44 years old. The doctor gives him viagra and cialis, but he doesn't get a complete erection, and the pump only keeps it hard for a few minutes. Anything else we can try? I heard of some other methods, but what is it, how does it work, where can we get it, and what are the side effects? Any men know? He is concerned he doesn't satisfy me, even though he does. I just need the emotional feelings there and I can have an orgasm, but for his sake, he is feeling less of a man. Please only serious answers.

Injectables like Caverject or tri-mix are usually good solutions. The most important thing is to keep trying, otherwise his function can be permanently impaired. As your doctor has probably told you, recovery of erectile function following prostatectomy is unpredictable, it may take another year, or it may never be better than it is now.

In the very worst case, it is possible to get an implant. This is an inflatable device that is surgically installed. I don't know of anyone who has had this done, I hope it isn't necessary for him.

Absolutely. Depends on the mood. If it is motivational purposes, something fast and inspiring. If I am feeling retrospective it is usually some Maroon 5 or Counting Crows early stuff. How long at each time varies, but I can be stuck on a particular album for over a month playing it whenever I can.

Eating lots of leafy greens, whole grains, oysters, watermelon, and blueberries (most any fruit will work, really) will help you give your body all that it needs to improve the quality of your erections, while cutting out processed foods, cigarettes and alcohol will provide further benefits. If you are O K that is all that counts. I'm sure he knows plenty ways to give you orgasms, if not teach him.
