I have a lung disease and when I take Vicodin I can breathe easier. Of course my doctor thinks I'm just trying to have some fun, therefore will not right me a prescription. So I was wondering is there anything else out there that may have the same effect?

Doctors are really pressed these days about the narcotics they dispense. You might consider going to a pain management specialist, because even though they are monitored as closely as regular doctors, the practice they are in makes Vicodin a fairly common prescription and they have less trouble justifying it to the board that oversees these matters. Vicodin has Tylenol which has some powers to reduce swelling and has a bit of analgesic properties. Maybe you could get a bit of relief from just straight Tylenol... Good Luck with your condition.

No, there's no legal, naturally-occurring substance that's remotely similar to Vicodin. What's your lung condition?
