It's shows like that that make me frown upon the upcoming youth of America. This is the reason we have so many spoiled rotten brats who get what what they want and don't know what the words "discipline" or "respect" mean. They all have tv shows like this as guidelines! I've seen girls who curse their parents when they don't get what they want. If I had done half the things some of these girls (and guys!) on that show do, I probably wouldn't be typing right now. Disipline has gone completely out the window in today's society. There's no such thing as a spanking anymore because it's "child abuse". And God-forbid a parent tells their child "no" because their fragile little minds will take it as the parent doesn't want to give the child anything to make them happy. Psycho-babble bull is all it is. And then these kids actually get on TV and say people are just jealous when told they're crazy and stupid for throwing such a huge party. I'm not jealous of anything! Me and my friends went to the bowling alley for my Sweet 16! A week later at my friend's Sweet 16 we went to Chuck E. Cheese's! We had a blast and didn't spend more than $150! We didn't have P. Diddy show up. Didn't have a band playing at the hottest club in Atlanta. Just something fun with friends.
There's a child in some third-world country starving to death, and we have 16-year-olds who want a $10,000 birthday cake. And to think, these kids will be running the world one day. I weep for the future. Parents, take better care of your kids.

It truly makes me nauseous. I saw the season premiere and watching the mom cry because her daughter put on a dress and walked down a flight of stairs in it made me want to kick my TV screen in. $24,000 diamond watch for a 16 year old? A Mercedes SUV and she didn't even have a license? So so so disgusting. I mean they give these kids the world just for waking up in the morning and breathing.. My own 16 year old cannot believe how incredibly disgusting the show is.. Its embarrassing that the show goes out to different countries and thats how the world thinks all American teens are. So sad. Watched it once and will never watch it again.

I agree this show is disgusting! The ruthless teens are so spoiled that it makes me sick to my stomach. In a world where we have ppl that don't have food to eat you would think that we wouldn't have such self-absorbed brats on this earth but of course we do. When they cry bc they didn't get the car they wanted or the centrepiece that they wanted you just want to punch them in the face. The parents are largely to blame for allowing their kids to take advantage of their bank accounts. Shame on them all. For my sweet 16 I had dinner with my friends and family and that was enough for me.

This is a stupid show. But I can't stop watching it. When I look at these girls and how spoiled they are , I'm just happy I'm not like that. I remember seeing one episode where the girl's father bought her a Range Rover for her 16th b-day and it was used. The previous owner had only had it for a week and they returned it and the girl was so mad because she wanted a brand new one and also her father paid $20,000 for a designer dress that was only available in Paris so he flew her out to Paris to get the dress. It just really shows you that you aren't doing your kids a favor by giving them everything they want and spoiling them.

No it's not. I watch sometimes but only when I feel like bashing something. They are a good example of the ideals MTV is putting out there for teens, being spoiled, obnoxious brats!

I agree and the show only promotes that behavior to the youth watching, the disrespect they give to their parents is a disgrace. And so is the way they treat people who aren't invited to the party. I think it encourages kids to be stuck up to people who don't make the "cool" list. Also it disgusts me that they always have a ton of people who weren't invited making a$$es of the self trying to get an invite or into the party. Pitiful.

I think not only should those teenagers get a slap up side the head, but the parents too for allowing their children to become those conceited egotistical maniacs.Like you it is hard to turn away from the atrocities I have seen so far on the "Super Sixteen" show this year.Gotta love to hate them though.

I've watched it before and I just couldn't believe how the parents let them get away with it.They are so self absorbed and childish. One of the girls was expecting a car for her birthday dinner(not the actual party)and when she didn't get it she began to cry.The mom had closed her credit card for disobeying her and the credit card didn't have a limit, can you believe that?No limit!Anyways, she got her expensive birthday bash, her car and her credit card back.Talk about BULL S**T !!My daughter and I laughed through the whole stupid show.

It's ridiculous and it makes me sick...They're so spoiled and whiny and bratty and think they deserve everything they get from their stupid parents. This is why there's still poverty. All the money that could be used for good purposes and given to poor, unfortunate, sick people is being wasted ion parties for ungrateful brats.

Completely rediculous. All the shows on MTV nowadays just plain suck. Have you seen the other ones? Dating with a lie detector, going out on dates with fake guys/girls that your parents picked? And the True Life ones are ANYTHING but true nowadays. Awful. Thank god VH-1 has mindless entertainment that's actually ENTERTAINING. :-)
