I think it's from New Orleans but don't know what it means.

Steppers are professional dancers. "Ain't nothing for a stepper" means that it's easy for a dancer .

During my college years (1968-1972), this was a phrase in common use. It meant one could handle whatever was being asked of them. It was often used sarcastically (i.e., You need to ace your calculus final to pass the course! To which one might respond, "That ain't nothing for a stepper.").

Stepper is an island term for a criminal on the run. See Hot Stepper...

Its a glamorized term, like 'My *****" and means its not a problem for a crook like me.
