But answer this? Would you eat a hamsandwich, if you knew there was ONE little layer of BM? Would you drink your soda if you knew that one of it's contents was a pint of someones's pee? This question is mainly for Christians.

My mistake, I meant for this to be on religion and spirituality. Sorry!

Your analogy is flawed. You should really be comparing apples to oranges, not apples to a brick.

I can watch a movie, even if there are some scenes that I did not care for, because I know that I can skip over the scene if I feel it was making me sick (to my stomach).

When you listen to music, you may not enjoy all of the songs on an album by that artist, but you will still pick out and listen to the ones you do like.

Oh and if I were to address the points you tried to make, I have eaten moldy cheese by cutting off the white or green on the outside, since the core is still good.

I have gone swimming in a public pool and accidentally swallowed some water, which I am pretty sure some little kids have peed in.

And finally, when I worked for my city's public works department, I drank water from a fountain at the water treatment plant that was essentially recycled (cleaned) toilet water.

When you put a queston here, it is for everyone.

I object to most movies that I have seen lately. I can't imagine that the "makers" of these movies think we are so stupid that violence and nudity are all that is required to make $. I couldn't believe how bad The Departed was. It had a cast of characters and most of them did a remarkable job of acting but all of that to say that everyone was a rat. And Tarentino or however you spell his name got a Golden Globe for his job of director. It could have been quite a movie if they had substituted story for violence. A friend took me to see Children of Men because she had read the book and thought it excellent. She said the movie didn't even resemble the book. They substituted violence. Again good actors, stupid movie. I don't mind violence if the movie calls for it and it can be done in a way that supports the plot. And worse, I can't find the Queen showing anywhere around me. The violent films are all they bring in here. I liked that Meryl Streep said that her film was a hit and it was shown everywhere. That people need to demand that managers bring in other good films. So it shall be.

Why is this question mainly for Christians? That makes no sense. People of ALL religions watch movies and enjoy some and don't enjoy others. As for "bad parts" it could have meant anything from gross sex scenes to gory bloody scenes to horribly acted scenes.

Comparing a movie to a ham sandwich is comparing apples to oranges. It is an illogical connection.

I agree with you, but it also depends on how bad the parts were, just a few swear words, or throughout, etc..
