Anyone who kills a child purposely should get the death penalty and it should be swift justice not this 10 15 and 20 year wait to carry it out like they have been doing it.

Other than revenge, what would this accomplish? There is no way this mother was playing with a full deck, executing her will not deter anyone else from killing their child.

Why was this woman not getting help before something in her snapped? If there were signs of a problem, why wasn't the child removed from her custody. These are the important things to find out and learn from.

properly, killing ones newborn is close to the right of the record even as it contains undesirable crimes, or maybe as someone might want to "deserve" the shortcoming of life penalty, that isn't any longer plausible to thoroughly decrease all blunders for lack of life penalty cases, and for this reason that is somewhat plausible that an threat free individual might want to be systematically murdered! in reality, in my state, Illinois, the shortcoming of life penalty became positioned on previous, and all lack of life sentences were commuted to existence without parole because they found most of cases the position threat free human beings were on lack of life row. the biggest component of justice is being honest, and that is by no ability honest in case you may't undo an incorrect verdict.

Yes and No. yes because she is so heartless as to slaughter her own child for the sake of herself, someone else, or just any other than that than the life she offed.
no, because she could have been helping it. In today's society, it's torture to live sometimes. maybe she's been poverty-struck, and she wants to avoid letting her child be tortured. depends on POV you use.

Yes or killed in the same manner that the child was killed. That means get Susan Smith, put her in car and push it into the closest lake.

i think its horrific what happened w/ that woman who pushed her 3 babies off that bridge BUT she was severely schizophrenic
she should not have been able to have children in the first place
its too risky making sure she is continuing her medication to stay in a healthy frame of mind

No, I think a life term in prison would be good. Let her pay every night she goes to bed and she thinks of the horrible act she commited!
