Having been recently rehabilitated from prison for my previous acts of peadophillia, I decided to do something for my community to try and make up for all the damage I did.

I decided to start a club for kids who want to have a jolly, exciting, frivoulous and enthusiastic glub to go to instead of hanging around doing drugs and the like. I called it the Jolly Gay kids club - a place where you can come and do jolly, gay stuff.

First of all, I got these extremely suspect characters hanging around, asking where the condom machine was - although there were no girls with them. Then all these rough women with short spikey hair turned up and wanted to start a discussion group about "sexual politics" - whatever that is. Doesn't sound jolly or gay to me.

Anyhow, then all these angry parents turned up and started kicking off about turning the kids into perverts - and of course my past got dragged into it. The place got firebombed last night.

What am I doing wrong?

Well, you started by naming the club "The Jolly Gay Kids Club" people now don't think of gay the way they did back then. Back then, your club would've meant what you intended. But now, it means something TOTALLY different. Plus, your past doesn't help matters either. Just change the name, and try to make everybody happy.

I think there's just an awful lot of rotters and killjoys around these days. I had a similar problem when I put an ad in a lonely heart column:
"Chirpy, gay, old boy, up for fun and games with girls who like to dress up. Age not an issue".
I kept getting messages from a bunch of men pretending to be jessies and telling me how big their bits and pieces were.

It's all since national service was scrapped. A good stint in the army would show 'em that buggery was no laughing matter, that's for sure!

i am confused, is it a club for gay people to go to, of is it a club for everyone to hang out in. if it is a place for everyone to hang out in, then don't call it the 'jolly gay kids club'. that is probably the reason why people are a bit weird about it!

could it be a tax issue? ive heard thats why people get up in arms about brothels, same reason the ipswich prossies got brought to justice, tax evasion. change the name of your club to a 'mens health spa' that tends to quiet things down for most places.
