the legend of the unicorn is one that dates back to biblical times.

supposedly noah was charged with getting all animals onto his arc to save them from the flood that god brought to purge the earth.

for whatever reason, noah couldn't catch the unicorns, either they were too smart or too fast or noah just had bad luck and so they died off in the flood...

They don't exist and for scientific reasons they couldn't survive very long if they did. Apparently there have been numerous single horned mammals in the past, but they all died out as the single horn was not as effective as a double horn when considering attack or defence (that's why many mammals have 2 horns which reflect 2 legs and 2 arms). Rhinos are one horned and still live but that's only because they are so big and are armour plated - too tough to kill easily.

No, it is believed that people who had never seen horses or knights made up unicorns. Knights carried Lances which are like long spears and when these people saw them they thought the spear was sticking out from the horses forehead. As for you being 16, you should never give anyone on the Internet any information about yourself including your age, it is not a wise thing to do.

Alas the unicorns ain't what they used to be...

Due to lack of belief in their species they began to experience self doubt and lose self esteem, they began drinking special brew and eating junk food.

The last few unicorns can be seen in safari zones and zoos but to hide their shame and keep us from knowing their secrets they are now known as Rhinos.

It's possible that there are horses around with abnormalities - bony growths on their heads. Whenever i think of unicorns i think of terry pratchett writing about how people always think unicorns are nice and pretty and gentle, but if you think about it it's a horse with a bloody great sharp horn on its head and you do not want to get too near it!

They do exist but you have very little chance of finding one. They are forest spirit animals so the best way to find one is to go to the forest, the bigger the better, and get lost. If you are lucky you may wander into the spirit land. The chances are one in a million but you never know.

Don't bother trying to take pictures though. They will never develop.

Good Luck

Candy remember to be wise on the Internet and don't give people your personal details. I think they could exist but in a slightly different form which was where the mythological creatures derived.

There are lots of weird & wonderful animals out there... I can't see any reason why they didn't exist once, but not sure about all the legends of the type JK Rowling has attached to them. In old National Trust houses & castles they're all over the place in carvings & tapestries.
