My man and i have been together for 5 years... he doesn't eat chocolate and i've given him the usual gifts for Valentines Day over the years (teddy bears, boxer shorts, c.d's, etc) but i wanna give him something different. Any suggestions??

Make him his favorite dinner and dessert and prepare the bedroom in a sexy manner, and make sure the house looks nice. Perhaps share a bath with him, light some candles in there, and drink champagne, and after that, put on some lingerie and light candles in the bedroom with soft music and give him a nice full body rubdown! Make sure you don't talk about any problems or worries. Who knows - it might lead to something else! If it does, then do something in bed that you haven't before, and make it memorable. Let him watch you or whatever you may not have done for him...

So the corporations have you so brainwashed that the only things you can come up with for your man, are the ordinary things the corporations want you to buy on Valentines Day? so sad After 5 years it's about time you get creative!

get him something he can actually use or something he really needs. the cd's were a good start. depending on your budget, you could get him an ipod shuffle or something else electronic. or, pay for you two to go to a fun sporting event or another gift that will let the two of you share an experience together.

My husband always likes lingerie for myself to parade in.

Oh, and he really LOVED it one year when he came home, the kids were gone, I was setting out a romantic dinner wearing a slightly see through nightgown. The dinner was all finger foods so we could feed each other and we sat right next to each other instead of across from one another.

How about a three day excursion to somewhere fun, that the two of you can share? Like to the beach in Mexico or skiing in Colorado? Just trying to think of what my b/f would like.

How about a pair of tickets to a sports event like a hockey or basketball game? Then hope he asks you to be the one to go with him.

take him out to dinner, or better yet cook him a little dinner and rent a movie. I've done this for a my guy a few times and he really love it, it makes them feel great that you took the time to do soemthing out of the way for them

Give him tickets to see his favorite sports team. I got this last year and it was awesome! My friends were all jealous, I took her along with me and had a blast! You can also pick him up something in electronics. Make sure he gets a present he wants, not needs.
Good luck!
