I remember feeling them in the last trimester, especially after going up a big flight of stairs after which I was out of breath. I just felt a tightening on my belly for a few seconds, maybe a few at a time. I thought it was out of the ordinary, but it wasn't enough to alarm me.

I never confused them for real contractions, but maybe some women experience stronger ones than I did. If they go away when you relax, get something to drink, or lay down, then they aren't real. If they increase in strength and the time between them decreases, then they are most likey the real thing.

When i started having braxton hicks contractions at about 34w pregnant (second baby) they just felt like a tightening of my uterus.. like randomly my entire stomach would get hard, no pain. Now that i'm 37w pregnant the tightening is the same but it squeezes so hard that at the peak of the contraction it can hurt a bit... bu then it goes away again, no big deal. They come completely random, sometimes right on top of eachother and sometimes just once an hour.

Braxton Hicks are a tightening of your stomache(basically an unpainful form of contractions.) They should not hurt but they can be very uncomfortable. You can feel them at anytime(especially after having an orgasm) Usually you can start feeling them around month 7-8 but with my third child I started getting them at 4 months.

Some times theyre slightly painful. But not so painful that they double you over or you cant walk through them.

Theyre usually just when your belly turns into a hard ball.

You dont want to have more than 6 an hour, if you start having a lot, lay down and drink some water it will make them go away.

They are contractions they prepare your body for actual labor. They are supposed to be painless although I had some painful ones. Basically your belly just tightens up. If you think you are having them lay down and put both hands on your belly. It will suddenly turn hard as a rock. That's how it was for me.

braxton hicks shouldnt be painful they might be uncomfortable but shouldnt hurt braxton hicks it feels like your belly gets real hard kind of like it feels like the baby is balling up.and sometimes they are alittle hard to tell from baby or braxton hicks if you poke at your belly hard hard soft its baby but if you poke hard hard hard hard then its braxton hicks. usually braxton hicks are felt in the stomach only and real contractions you can feel in your side and back as well as stomach

It's where your tummy gets hard, It can be a little uncomfortable like pressure. When you go into labor you will feel the normal contractions which are similar but more intense.

they are painless contractions. they are practice contractions that can start anytime after 24 weeks. all you feel is a little tightening in your lower tummy. its your uterus. only worry if they become consistent and painful and always talk to your doctor about this they are your best source for info about your pregnancy since they know you and your pregnancy

They are mild to moderate contractions that some people call false labor pains. They prepare you for active labor.
