Figure out a topic about which you want to make 3-5 points. Your first paragraph will be in introduction stating the topic and explaining briefly the approach you plan to tak. The next 3 paragraphs will cover one point (idea) you want to make. If you have 5 ideas you want to explore, pick out the 2 most important and give each its own paragraph. The lesser three ideas you can discuss in paragraph 4. The last paragraph should be a or recap of what your essay covered and the conclusion you have come to about the topic.

*should capture the attention of your reader.

Paragraph 2-4 - Information
*should state your information in a sensible manner

Paragraph 5- Conclusion
*should end your essay in a intresting way (don't say something like...... see ya next time)

Set it up like this:

Paragraph 1 = introductory paragraph including thesis statement
Paragraphs 2-4 = supporting paragraphs
Paragraph 5 = conclusion paragraph

Each paragraph should have this structure:
Sentence 1 = Ttesis statment
Sentences 2-4 = supporting statments
Sentence 5 = conclusion/transition statement

Write an outline.

Each paragraph will have a subject which may or may not refer to the previous paragraph. Lay out your ideas in groups according to the outline.

Group the ideas together and your essay is ready.

Intro-Intro your topic make sure the thesis sentence is the last line or even in the middle.
