It all depends on character and personality, the ultimate goal for every human been is happiness and that means avoiding pain and suffering, but like it or not pain and suffering are part of our life; we can learn and mature, and evolve through pain and suffering, but for some one who fear and reject pain and suffering, it could mean panic and paralysis. If we study the life of those who left their foot prints in the sand of life we will find something in common: "Suffering and Pain".
